Vietnam prepares EMV infrastructure

ePaynews.com:In Vietnam, more than 4,400 EMV chip-card-accepting terminals are in use. By year-end, most card-acceptance points should be converted and ready for a mass issuance of chip cards in 2007. Visa is expected to officially issue EMV chip cards in Vietnam in 2007. By late 2006, banks and sales agents will be able to support chip-card payments.
