Use of Hyosung solutions wins CU member approval, industry acclaim

Sunmark Federal Credit Union has been named a recipient of the 2017 CIO 100 award in recognition of the FI's ability "to create business value through the effective and innovative use of IT," according to a press release.

The CU's Rotterdam, New York, branch features hardware and integrated self-service solutions from Nautilus Hyosung America.

The CU selected the MX8800 in-lobby unit and 7800i drive-up unit from Nautilus Hyosung; the machines were installed by BranchServ, a provider of solutions in security, service and cash automation.

"This technology utilizes core processor integration and can therefore perform almost any teller transaction," BranchServ COO David Pepin said in the release. "And the MX8800 [and] 7800i allow the credit union to utilize video support services as a complement to in-branch assistance, instead of a substitute. But honestly, the learning curve for users is exceedingly short." 

Given members' positive response to the Rotterdam installation, Sunmark now plans to apply its automated concept to future branch renovations and new construction, the release said.
