According to the Las Vegas Review, two more federal cases have been filed against independent ATM operators for allegedly not having ATM surcharge fee disclosure notices posted on the machines.
The ATMs were located in a Speedee Mart at 5110 Camino al Norte and at Madam Tussaud's on the Strip. The plaintiffs, both from Collin County, Texas, say they were charged fees for transactions without a posted sign informing them of the charges before the transaction.
Federal regulations mandate that all ATMs have notices posted on or near the machine disclosing surcharge fees charged to customers outside of their bank's network. Additionally, a notice must displayed on the screen before a transaction takes place.
The two cases join the 17 others filed in Las Vegas last month.
