Truist appoints executives

Truist has made several changes to its C-suite. D. Steve Boland will join as vice chair, Shimma Sameer will be chief consumer banking officer and Jeff Warner will join as chief small business banking officer, according to a press release.

Through these appointments, Truist aims to continue to grow its consumer and small business banking services.

"Truist has all the ingredients to become one of the top-performing banks in the country, and these executive appointments will help ensure we have the leadership depth, organization structure and accountability to execute with discipline," Mike Lyons, president and chief executive officer, Truist, said in the release.

Boland, Sameer and Warner will report to Lyons.

"We have tremendous strengths, including deep client relationships, an attractive branch footprint, talented teammates and businesses with significant potential. These leaders have demonstrated track records driving growth and operational excellence," Lyon said.
