LONG BEACH, Miss. - In a move to enhance processing, service and support operations in the European ATM market, a Triton Systems subsidiary, Calypso Europe, has acquired various business assets from two United Kingdom-based ATM management companies.
According to a news release, Calypso last month acquired the ATM estate and ATM management services of Cash Point Machines and the ATM estate, repair and warehousing operations of InfoCash. Calypso Europe, along with Calypso Canada, is the ATM processing and estate management arm of Triton, which is part of Dover Corp.
"The success of InfoCash cash machines and our reputation have been built on the outstanding support and service given to customers," InfoCash's Eamonn O'Nolan said. "I am confident that this tradition will be elevated to a new level with Triton and Calypso."
The acquisition is part of Triton's long-term strategy to build on their global success in the ATM industry and provide high-quality, cost-effective ATM equipment, processing and service for the ATM market.
"This is a positive move by Triton and Calypso," Cash Point Machines co-founder Ed Ram said. Ram will own and continue to operate as an IAD servicing the U.K. market. "This is very good news for the markets in the U.K., which have not yet been fully explored."
Between the two acquisitions, Calypso Europe has acquired more than 15 million ATM transactions per year. The acquisitions position Triton to provide direct in-country warehousing, parts, repair, and technical-service-related support for all of its products. In addition, Calypso Europe will provide expanded ATM processing, monitoring and management services.
Triton will continue to sell ATM solutions for the retail market exclusively through independent ATM deployer partners.
"This opportunity is part of our long-term strategic vision to provide enhanced in-country operational segments that are necessary for the attainment of our goals, in this significant market," Triton president Brian Kett said.
Triton has more than 145,000 installations in more than 23 countries worldwide.
