Triton launches updates to VersaSafe, VersaLink

June 6, 2013

Triton Systems has released updated software for its VersaSafe and VersaLink smart safes. The updates work in concert and offer increased functionality and greater efficiency in managing and obtaining information from a smart safe network.

Software version 2.7 for VersaSafe provides:

  • more granular control of each deployed unit, allowing users to enter cassette-specific serial numbers for easier tracking and reporting of totals;
  • the option to enter envelope-specific serial numbers to track manual drops (can be disabled so that VersaSafe accepts only validated, denominated currency);
  • optional configuration to perform an automatic Day Close when a Pickup Close occurs, eliminating the need to segregate deposits made on a specific day up to the time a Pickup Close was performed (feature does not prevent an automatically scheduled Day Close from occurring).

VersaLink upgrades make it even easier to remotely control a fleet of VersaSafes, Triton said. Updated VersaLink software provides:

  • access control that lets managers enable, disable, add or delete users with one click — and reset user PINs, as well;
  • the ability to update both VersaSafe and bill acceptor software remotely and at the most convenient time, ensuring that VersaSafe is always running the latest software;
  • remote reset for VersaSafe, potentially resolving system errors.
