TNS Smart Network grows network to 13,000 ATMs in Canada, dominates market

October 29, 2008

TORONTO — TNS Smart Network Inc. has built its network to include 13,000 ATMs, the company announced in a news release, representing 30 percent growth from last year. TNS now says it expects to have 15,000 online by the end of 2009.
The growth of the TNS ATM portfolio is in large part due to the company's partnership with ISOs and transaction processing solutions. In the gaming and tourism sectors alone, annual cash dispensed by TNS is nearing CAN $6 billion.
"In 2008, TNS demonstrated growth of ATMs in a weakening Canadian economy," said Mischa Weisz, president and chief executive of TNS Smart Network. "TNS continues to grow by adopting network regulations that will safeguard our customers, while giving them the convenience to go about their daily activities."
