TietoEnator to promote Level Four as ATM testing vendor

LONDON - Level Four Software, the leading provider of open standards-based ATM testing and development software, has signed a licensing agreement with TietoEnator Banking & Insurance, supplier of high value-added IT services in Europe.

According to a news release, Level Four's ATM Developer will optimize the development and testing of TietoEnator's switch solution, Card Suite (Transmaster). The licensing agreement extends the partnership signed between the two companies in March 2005.

TietoEnator's Card Suite solution is used by banks and processing centers in different countries worldwide for the complete cycle of payment card processing - from card issuing to electronic payment operations via Internet and mobile communications.

TietoEnator will use ATM Developer to simulate ATM hardware and software. This virtual ATM concept enables users to test every stage of a transaction, from card entry to online interaction with the host system.

"With ATM Developer, we will decrease our testing and development cycles, therefore will be able to deliver next-generation ATM solutions to our customers more quickly," said TietoEnator's Egils Bogans. "We were particularly impressed with ATM Developer's comprehensive configuration file management for ATM networks. The solution's graphical workflow editor enables our developers to introduce new functionality and modify existing configuration files in a simple, graphical way."

ATM Developer's EMV-compliant capabilities also will assist TietoEnator's customers in their EMV migration efforts.
