SURVEY: Bulk deposits at ATMs benefit consumers

AUSTIN, Texas - According to a recent survey conducted by Wincor Nixdorf International among Southeastern U.S. bank executives, bulk-check deposit ATMs provide better banking experiences for customers.
The survey was conducted during an executive forum that included 50 bank executives. The forum, hosted by Wincor Nixdorf, discussed trends in branch automation.
Of the bank executives polled, 95 percent agreed or somewhat agreed that bulk-check deposit ATMs provide a better banking experience; nearly 60 percent of the respondents indicated their financial institutions will migrate to bulk check deposit ATMs in the near future. And more than 85 percent of the banking executives who participated in Wincor Nixdorf's survey either agreed or somewhat agreed that the technology will reduce operating costs.
More than 95 percent of those surveyed either agreed or somewhat agreed that bulk check deposit technology will be of particular benefit to a banks' small business customers, which make more frequent deposits of multiple checks, desire the freedom to bank after regular business hours, and need to complete their transactions with optimum speed and security.
