South Valley Bank & Trust joins MoneyPass ATM network

May 26, 2008

MINNEAPOLIS — South Valley Bank & Trust, a community-based commercial bank located in Klamath Falls, Ore., has announced an agreement to participate in the MoneyPass ATM network, according to a news release.  By participating in MoneyPass, SVBT provides its customers with access to nearly 15,000 surcharge-free MoneyPass ATMs nationwide.

"Recent trends are showing that consumers want increased access to ATMs without paying surcharge fees," said Doug Miraglia, president of the MoneyPass network. "That growing demand, coupled with the decision of many banks to increase the surcharge levied at their ATMs, helped South Valley Bank & Trust make the prudent choice to offer their customers the accessibility and value of MoneyPass."

"South Valley Bank & Trust has made the commitment to always put our customers first and provide them with realistic solutions that respond to their needs," said William E. Castle, president and chief executive officer of South Valley Bank & Trust. "MoneyPass made perfect sense because of the extensive and accessible locations throughout Oregon and the West and enabled us to provide a desired service that speaks to our customers' sense of value and quest for convenience."

SVBT has 14 branch offices, 22 ATMs and 13,000 cardholders located throughout central and southwestern Oregon, offering business and personal banking. They now join the more than 850 participating financial institutions and 25 million cardholders that have access to nearly 15,000 MoneyPass ATMs nationwide.
