South African ATMs offer bill-pay option

Personal Finance & Independent:South Africa's Absa Electronic Banking successfully wrapped negotiations with Eskom to vend prepaid electricity tokens at its 6,500 ATMs. "Tokens will enable individuals to recharge their prepaid Eskom meters via an Absa ATM. This service will be available, from Sept. 17, to both Absa and non-Absa customers," said Absa's Venete Klein. Customers of other banks can use the service with their debit cards.
