MOSINEE, Wis. - Wausau, provider of distributed payment and document processing, announced that Massachusetts' Salem Five Bank is now using its Web-based remote corporate capture solution to enhance cash-management services.
Salem Five, with nearly $2.4 billion in assets, is using Wausau's WebDDL application service provider solution as the basis for its remote deposit service offering. The new service allows Salem Five's commercial customers to scan checks at their business locations and electronically transmit the information to Salem Five for deposit.
The offering allows Salem Five customers to service middle-market companies in a wide geography.
The application uses advanced image capture functionality, image quality and usability, image workflow, configurable business rules and intelligent character recognition to reduce customer keystrokes. The ASP offering, which includes branding for each financial institution, provides security and reliability, utilizing multiple data centers for disaster recovery. This application also includes duplicate item detection capabilities, fraud-protection features and audit information.
