The Retail Bulletin: An estimated 50 percent of retailers with ATMs installed in their shops have expressed disappointment with their transaction levels, said Carl Thomas, chief executive of England-based ATM ISO Cashbox. And Thomas says another 20 percent probably want their ATMs removed. Retailers across the country are questioning the viability of their machines because of low-transaction rates - a trend that's led to the removal of many units or ATMs with insufficient funds.
