December 10, 2006

LONDON, Ontario - Phoenix Interactive Design Inc. announced the launch of its Phoenix Commander during the Nov. 14-16 BAI Retail Delivery Conference & Expo. (Read also, This year's RD surpasses expectations.)

According to a news release, Phoenix Commander is a new software product that provides ATM deployers a 360-degree view of the self-service network. The new offering also is intended to maximize remote-management capabilities.

"The introduction of Commander to the ATM channel is the productivity and centralized management breakthrough that customers have been asking for," said John Spenler, Phoenix' chief technology officer. "This is a cutting-edge product far superior to what's available for self-service management in the marketplace today."

Spenler said in the past, channel owners have been forced to rely on static, decentralized and manually compiled data and reporting to manage the network.

Commander enables the ability to remotely drill down the details of a single ATM/self-service device or a defined group of devices in real time.

Phoenix' senior vice president Doug Parr said the Phoenix Commander was launched to augment the VISTAatm software suite, and to improve and centralize the remote management of any Microsoft Windows-based self-service/ATM network.
