Paragon expands free online class offering

This spring, ParagonApplication Systemsintroduced a series of free, online EMV training classes. Now the e-payments testing software specialists are building on the success of the series — it's garnered 1,500 viewings to date — with a new lineup of free online classes covering payments.

"Every organization faces the challenge of training new team members without taking time away from busy, experienced resources," said Deborah Spidle, director of EMV solutions at Paragon in a news release. "These short, online presentations will provide a good foundation for anyone new to the payments industry."

The new series also responds to the needs of industry veterans who want information on new developments in payments, Paragon said.

The first two payments classes are already available online; an additional four will follow soon, the announcement said. Spidle will present the series, which will cover topics including:

• An Introduction to Payments, Part 1—Payment Cards
• An Introduction to Payments, Part 2—Payment Methods and Channels
• An Introduction to Payments, Part 3—Basic Online Transaction Processing (coming soon)
• An Introduction to Payments, Part 4—Advanced Online Transaction Processing Concepts (coming soon)
• An Introduction to Payments, Part 5—Beyond the Online Transaction (coming soon)
• An Introduction to Payments, Part 6—The Future of Payments (coming soon)
