ATM provider Payment Alliance International has signed a master agreement with GivePay Commerce, provider of a digital gift card platform for ATMs and kiosks, that enables PAI to offer a variety of digital gift cards and prepaid products at thousands of PAI-operated ATMs across the United States.
According to a press release, PAI plans to begin the rollout process in December with a software update to Nautilus Hyosung ATMs that use the company's wireless solutions and remote monitoring services.
The software update will introduce a new marketplace of digital gift cards and prepaid products that can be sent and confirmed instantly through the GivePay platform.
PAI ATM users can shop and send popular gift cards from leading brands by selecting GivePay from the main menu at the beginning of a transaction or during the withdrawal process.
Digital gift cards can be sent directly to a recipient anywhere in the U.S. via mobile phone text. The text includes the sender's name and a video message powered by Jib Jab, a creator of humorous e-greetings.
Most gift cards can be stored in the recipient's Apple Wallet or Google Pay wallet for easy redemption, the release said.
Additionally, the GivePay platform offers mobile top-up without the need for an interactive voice response phone call or prepaid PIN entry. The ATM user simply chooses a prepaid wireless carrier listed in the service menu and enters a U.S. mobile number. Payment is applied directly to the user's account.
"Our support for remote management combined with GivePay's modern API will allow PAI operators to seamlessly manage all of their ATM products in one place," PAI Chief Revenue Officer Scott McFarland said in the press release. "We're excited to partner with GivePay to offer PAI customers a new advanced ATM marketplace with PAI integrated solutions for remote deployment and support."
With the addition of the PAI network and support for remote installation, GivePay Commerce plans to accelerate deployment in markets that include New York City, south Florida, north Texas, Chicago and Minneapolis, among others.
To date, GivePay has preregistered more than 15,000 ATM locations for its platform and has rolled out the solution in 15 states and 30 cities.
"With a growing fleet of remote managed ATMs and planned support for GivePay reporting integration, PAI is well positioned to introduce a comprehensive digital marketplace of interactive ATMs", GivePay CEO Jerry Jackson. "By introducing the GivePay Gift Card Mall, PAI is now offering an endless aisle of digital products to hundreds of operators and thousands of merchants. We're incredibly excited to work with PAI and their network customers to bring advanced ATM solutions to the gift card and ATM marketplace."
