NCR to showcase two-sided printing technology at BAI conference
November 7, 2006
DAYTON, Ohio - NCR Corp. announced that its two-sided thermal-printing technology has been selected as one of six new developments to be highlighted Nov. 14-16 as the industry's "best of the best" during BAI's Retail Delivery Conference & Expo in Las Vegas.
According to a news release, BAI reviewed more than 80 international submissions before selecting the final products.
NCR's patented two-sided thermal printing reduces overall business-consumables costs by allowing simultaneous printing on both sides of a receipt or document. Applications for the financial-services industry include consumer transaction receipts, no-envelope deposit acknowledgements, bank statements, ATM coupons and customer surveys.
"We anticipate two-sided thermal printing will have a broad and significant impact on banking and other industries," said Peter Dorsman, vice president and general manager of NCR's Systemedia Division. "Users can reduce costs, improve operational efficiency due to fewer roll changes, minimize environmental impact and enhance one-to-one marketing capabilities."
