NCR signs service pact with China Resources Bank of Zhuhai

NCR Corp. has announced a 5-year technology services agreement with China Resources Bank of Zhuhai. The manufacturer will provide hardware maintenance for more than 200 NCR-branded ATMs owned by the bank.

China Resources Bank of Zhuhai operates four branches and 50 sub-branches in Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Zhongshan and Foshan, under which there are 50 sub-branches. The bank aims to increase its ATM availability with improved support services, and has decided to shift to original ATM hardware vendors for service maintenance to drive higher availability.

Within the year, the FI also plans to add another 500 units from NCR, its primary ATM vendor.

“We are honored to secure this significant contract, which has demonstrated China Resources Bank of Zhuhai’s trust and recognition to our service standards," said the general manager for NCR Services in Greater China, Jimmy Zheng. "We are also delighted to see that higher ATM availability is becoming more important for local Chinese banks, as they improve their customer experiences and gain competitive advantages.”

Worldwide, NCR performs 11 million service actions per year.
