NCR says support for discontinued Tidel ATM line will continue
February 19, 2009
During last week's ATM Industry Association conference in Nashville, Tenn., representatives from NCR Corp. said distribution and support of the soon-to-be-discontinued EasyPoint 3300 and EasyPoint 3600 will continue. The EP 3300 and EP 3600 are two former Tidel Engineering ATM models that NCR merged with its EasyPoint retail line after its acquisition of Tidel in December 2005.
The company plans to close the EP plant in Carrollton, Texas, which employs 14 people, at the end of the first quarter of the year.
Graeme Black, industry marketing manager of financial solutions for NCR, says both ATMs will continue to be built and shipped through 2009, with support from NCR continuing through 2013.
NCR announced its plans to close the plant and halt production of the two EP models last month. Included In This Story
