NCR says managed ATM services gain momentum
November 8, 2007
LAS VEGAS - NCR Corp. says it continues to expand its Managed Services portfolio and customer base, now leading with more than 300,000 ATMs in its total managed-services portfolio and more than 30,000 ATMs managed for financial institution clients and other ATM deployers throughout the world.
According to a news release, ATMs on NCR's managed-services plan are serviced, maintained and operated by NCR's worldwide customer-services team. Service ranges from ATM installation to keeping the ATM available and loaded with cash, to managing the back-office business functions of the terminal or channel.
High Availability Services, from which the Managed Services portfolio was born, uses remote resolution-based NCR technologies, like the Self-Service Diagnostic Gateway, to increase ATM availability and optimize consumer transactions.
"NCR Managed Services can relieve the operational burden and overhead of running a complex ATM network," said John Di Leo, NCR's vice president of customer services. "We provide a single point of accountability and end-to-end visibility of the entire network from both an operational services and management perspective."
