Euro Automatic Cash, a provider of in-branch and third-party ATM services and a subsidiary of Banco Santander, has implemented advanced monitoring services from NCR Corp. to improve the overall availability of its ATM network, according to a press release.
"We have been working on this new service for some months now and the first results are very promising," Euro Automatic Cash Managing Director José Rincón said.
Just two months after NCR started providing the service, Euro Automatic Cash saw a 3.5 percent increase in network availability, including a dramatic 9 percent improvement at third-party ATM locations, the release said.
"NCR innovation and experience enabled Euro Automatic Cash to reach a higher level in their ATM network management," Carlos García Reig, general director of financial services at NCR Spain, said in the release. "ATMs are the most prominent interface between a financial institution and their customers. It is vital that they reflect their brand and support their brand promises."
NCR's 20,000-plus service professionals remotely resolve 3 million service requests every year, to help ATM deployers avoid the need for on-site service dispatch, the company said.
