NAB completes chip, PIN pilot

Datamonitor: National Australia Bank completed a pilot program of its chip-card program and is now expected to provide transaction services for the technology. Australian banks have until now opted not to use chip and PIN technology, despite its popularity overseas. NAB, however, is expected to start processing up to 20,000 chip-card transactions daily.
