Monitise Americas announces 23 new financial institution partnerships

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Monitise Americas, LLC, a mobile banking and payments provider, has announced that 23 additional financial institutions have signed agreements with Metavante to provide mobile services to their customers and members, according to a news release. These new agreements add to the growing list of financial institutions that have chosen the Monitise Americas solution for their mobile needs. Metavante is a provider of banking and payments technology.
 
The signing of these agreements comes on the heels of announcements of partnerships with Corporate Network eComm and Everlink, Monitise Americas' partner in Canada.
 
Monitise Americas has included bill payment capabilities in its latest upgrade, and its mobile banking and payments technology is now available on more than 200 different handsets, including BlackBerry models. Furthermore, its service is also available on three of the top four wireless carriers, casting the widest net in the industry.
 
"Mobile banking is in an explosive period of growth right now and we are seeing a dramatic increase in demand by consumers who want on-the-go access to their bank accounts," said Lisa Stanton, chief executive of Monitise Americas. "Whether you're traveling for business and trying to manage your expenses or just away from your home computer and need to pay a bill, it's clear that mobile financial services is becoming a must-have application."
 
The Monitise Americas mobile money service is available as a downloadable application on JAVA or BREW and as SMS, allowing consumers to tailor the application whether they're using a smartphone or standard handset. In addition to bill pay, Monitise Americas' current product line includes balance inquiries, funds transfers, mini-statements and text message alerts. By leveraging the ATM switch network, Monitise Americas gives consumers the confidence that their mobile transactions are as secure and convenient as using an ATM.
