MoneyGram has unveiled its MoneyGram Card, backed by stablecoin. Customers can access cash or make payments wherever Visa is accepted, according to a press release.
"We're giving customers more freedom and control to manage their money, all in one place," Anthony Soohoo, chairman and CEO, MoneyGram, said in the release. "The MoneyGram Card builds on the power of our global payments network, bringing a stable-dollar balance, everyday spending and cash access into the MoneyGram experience customers already use and trust."
Customers can add MoneyGram Card to their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet or pick up cash from a MoneyGram physical location. The company worked with Rain to enable stablecoin via the Stellar network.
It is available now in Columbia, with plans to launch to other global markets later in 2026. The company will also add a physical card before the end of the year to enable ATM cash withdrawal.
