Mexican FI uses Transoft's OptiCash for ATM, branch cash management

CARY, N.C. - Transoft International has been chosen by Banamex, a subsidiary of Citigroup Inc. member Grupo Financiero Banamex, to provide its OptiCash currency-management software for the bank's ATM and branch cash management.

Founded in 1884, Banamex provides full consumer, corporate, private and investment banking products and services. According to a news release, Banamex will use OptiCash to handle currency management for those networks as well as support the needs of other Citigroup banks throughout Latin America.

OptiCash will be used to automate cash forecasting, cost balancing, ordering, monitoring, expense tracking and more for Banamex.

"With OptiCash we will realize significant recurring savings through decreasing cash holdings, reducing associated costs and improving operational efficiencies", said Samuel Lara, director of consumer banking in Latin America for Banamex. "We are confident that with Transoft as our currency management solution provider, we are standing on solid ground."
