TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Credit Union 24 has signed Tower Federal Credit Union ($1.6 billion in assets) to join its cooperative EFT network.
According to a news release, the Laurel, Md.-based credit union gains access to approximately 3,500 Credit Union 24 ATMs, 328 of which are surcharge-free CU HERE ATMs, in Maryland.
"The decision to join Credit Union 24 not only shows that we're working to fulfill our members' expectations with regard to surcharge-free ATM access, but also reflects our commitment to the credit-union movement," said Martin M. Breland, Tower's president and chief executive. "We're now able to keep much of our point-of-sale activity within the credit union community."
The Credit Union 24 network launched its member-owned national POS network in 1998, which now counts more than 400,000 terminals across the United States.
