Matera, a fintech company, has introduced the ANSI X9.150 payment QR standard. With the tool, financial institutions can process up to 100,000 transactions monthly for QR codes, according to a press release.
The solution can generate and validate QR codes for customers to use. This current mode is meant to serve as a test for banks to try before purchasing a commercial version. Matera's platform supports several payments systems including RTP, ACH credit transfers and Zelle.
"As an active contributor to the X9.150 standard, we believe the industry's success depends on making implementation as simple as possible," Carlos Netto, Matera CEO, said in the release. "The faster developers can experiment with X9.150, the faster the industry can move toward interoperable account-to-account payments."
It is available now through GitHub and Docker Hub.
