MasterCard recently launched Mastercard Advanced B2B Analytics, an AI-powered card acceptance analytics platform designed to help banks and corporate clients optimize supplier payments and working capital, according to a press release.

The platform analyzes accounts payable data using dynamic acceptance propensity scoring to identify suppliers most likely to accept card payments. Paired with consulting support from Mastercard Advisors, the tool aims to help financial institutions drive commercial card adoption and capture market share in the B2B payments market.

"Businesses today are sitting on vast amounts of payment data, but too often it remains fragmented and underutilized," Marc Pettican, global head of Corporate Solutions at Mastercard, said in the release. "With Advanced B2B Analytics, we're combining powerful insights with our deep commercial payments expertise to help issuers identify where card acceptance can deliver the greatest value."

African banking group Absa and Dubai-based Emirates NBD are among the first financial institutions to implement the capability for their corporate clients.

"Through this new capability, we are helping businesses operate more efficiently and succeed in a rapidly changing environment," Pascalle Albrecht, executive for commercial issuing product at Absa Business Banking, said in the release.
