Ahmon Hogg, 23, from Humble, Texas, was sentenced to nine years in federal prison for a string of ATM robberies. The U.S. District Court in Seattle handed down the sentence after he pleaded guilty to four counts of bank robbery and two counts of attempted bank robbery, according to a report by KIRO 7.

Prosectors claim that Hogg would disable ATMs together with an accomplice and then attack ATM technicians who would arrive to service the machines. From there, they would steal the cash from the technicians.

His accomplice Seth Coles, Body, 24, was sentenced to 10 years in prison. The pair traveled across six states to carry out these attacks, stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars. In one incident, a technician was beaten until he lost consciousness.

They have been ordered to pay $770,000 in restitution to the victims and financial institutions.
