Malaysian bank deploys Diebold software

NORTH CANTON, Ohio — DieboldInc. says it has completed its deployment of its Agilis EmPower software on 250 Opteva ATMs owned bythe Maybank Group,Malaysia's largest financial institution.
According to a news release, EmPower's open-software, development tools andservices will allow Maybank customers to complete traditional full-functiontransactions at 250 Diebold Opteva ATMs in Maybank's network. By implementing EmPower,the FI expects to streamline its self-service fleet in Malaysia tobetter serve its customers.
Maybank has morethan 450 branches in Malaysia andan international presence in 13 other countries.
