DAYTON, Ohio - Augusta, Maine-based Kennebec Savings Bank is launching a new check-imaging infrastructure using NCR Corp.'s ImageMark Passport technology.
Kennebec became the first savings bank in New England to offer image-based deposit technology on its ATMs. The bank is planning to add more electronic banking center's throughout its central Maine service area, according to a news release.
"Small- to mid-sized financial institutions like Kennebec Savings are finding this capability helps to expand their geographic reach. They can easily establish virtual branches by using enhanced deposit features and validation with the automated self-service channel," said Andy Orent, vice president of NCR's Financial Solutions Division, Americas region.
