Indian banks want Triple DES ATM upgrade extension

(Mumbai, India) Daily News & Analysis: Banks in India have been asked to upgrade their older ATMs by July 1 to ensure higher security standards. Networks including Visa, MasterCard and Star, want all banks to implement Triple DES upgrades on ATMs purchased before 2002. But many banks say they won't have the time or budget to accomodate the deadline.
