I-Design reports continued losses related to rapid growth

December 16, 2007

NEWPORT-ON-TAY, Scotland — I-Design, provider of third-party ATM-advertising solution ATM:ad, reported financial results for the first time since its admission to the AIM in July 2007. AIM is the London Stock Exchange's international market for smaller, growing companies. Businesses on AIM range from young, venture capital-backed start-ups to well-established organizations looking to expand.

Over the course of 2007, i-design says it signed ATM advertising deals with HSBC and Alliance & Leicester. It also extended its ATM contract with Nationwide Building Society and signed a 12-month contract with British Airways in addition to an ATM campaign for Nivea.

According to a news release, i-design also expanded its media-sales and software-sales teams.

"It has been an exciting year for i-design," said James Faulds, the company's chairman. "The business has made excellent progress, both technically, with our ATM-advertising technology."

Faulds said the company's acceptance to the AIM has fueled a great deal of change as well.

"Our status as a publicly quoted company has brought us significant advantages, raising i-design's profile in the banking ATM marketplace and enhancing our position as we negotiate with potential customers," he said.

And while the company continues to operate at a loss, from £626,000 (U.S. $1.263 million) in 2006 to £656,000 (U.S. $1.323 million) this year, Faulds says i-design is investing in growth, both domestically and internationally.
