GRG Banking passes EMV test, certification

GUANGZHOU, China — GRG Banking Equipment Co. Ltd. has passed its migration test and certification for compliance with the Europay, MasterCard, Visa stardard.
According to a news release, the compliance certification was overseen by Société Monetique Tunisie.
SMT, the national switch of Tunisia, bordered by Algeria and Lybia, processes more than 70,000 ATM and POS transaction a day for 1.5 million accounts at 16 Tunisia banks.
SMT also is responsible for all card personalization in Tunisia.
GRG Banking has deployed more than 200 DT-7000 series ATM in Tunisia, all of which are capable of processing EMV transactions.
GRG Banking's DT-7000 series ATM received EMV Level-2 certification in 2004. And in three weeks, the company's equipment passed Level-3 certification through SMT.
