Global Cash Access adds 21 gaming properties

September 17, 2002

LAS VEGAS -- Global Cash Access (GCA), which operates more than 1,000 ATMs throughout its gaming property network, has signed contracts with 21 additional gaming properties.

GCA is the gaming industry's leading supplier of cash access and customer relationship marketing technologies, according to a company news release. The new properties -- located in Nevada, California, Arizona, Washington, Florida and the United Kingdom -- plan to use GCA's Automated Cashier Machine and Casino Cash Plus 3-in-1.

The company's Automated Cashier Machine uses Internet and facial biometric technology to allow quick multiple cash access services without cage operator assistance.

Casino Cash Plus 3-in-1 ATM helps to eliminate transaction denials based on bad PINs, exceeded limits or insufficient funds, according to the release. The Cash Plus machine includes a roll-over feature that gives users the option of obtaining funds from a POS debit transaction or a pinless credit card cash advance.

Las Vegas-based GCA, which is majority owned by First Data Corp. (NYSE:FDC), provides cash access and customer relationship marketing services to more than 1,200 gaming properties and other clients in the United States, Canada, Caribbean and the United Kingdom. According to GCA, more than 50 percent of all U.S. gaming revenue is transacted through its cash access devices.
