AUGSBURG, Germany - Germany's Kreissparkasse Bank announced in a news release that it expects to deploy NCR Corp.'s Personas M Series ATMs in its main branch this month. The bank also will deploy the Personas line in other branches as it replaces older machines from other vendors.
NCR's M series 74 and 76 machines introduce cash deposit and cash recycling, with a simple upgrade to their cash-dispensing ATMs.
"Having the Personas M Series ATMs in their main branch offers the best solution for easily introducing new services, while allowing high availability of the traditional cash dispense function," said Jeff Lutz, vice president of global sales and marketing for NCR's Financial Solutions Division. "In addition to the recycling module, a second module will dispense cash. This approach overcomes issues that other recycling technologies have, such as how to handle when consumers do not deposit enough cash to replenish the cash being used for withdrawals."
As part of a three-year agreement, NCR provides maintenance and services through its Worldwide Customer Services Division for all ATMs used by Kreissparkasse Bank.
This services contract covers ATMs from multiple vendors and NCR Personas Print account statement printers.
"Not all our branches are currently relevant for automated cash depositing, either with or without cash recycling, but this situation may change soon," said Kreissparkasse Bank's Jan Wecke. "With the NCR Personas M Series, we are perfectly prepared. If necessary, we just need to replace an internal module to add this functionality."
