Frost Bank and Cardtronics have announced an ATM branding relationship that will extend fee-free access who use ATMs at Valero Corner Stores. The program covers 615 ATMs located at Valero convenience stores in Texas, and will take effect by August 15.
With the agreement, Frost, an FI with 115 locations across Texas, will more than double its count of on-us ATMs. Added to the 469 ATMs Frost currently operates, the Valero ATMs will boost the bank's network total in Texas to 1,084. The Valero stores will extend Frost ATM access to 131 communities where Frost does not have a physical presence — including college towns Bryan/College Station, Waco and Lubbock.
"This partnership brings together three Texas-based companies — Frost, Cardtronics and Valero — in a move that significantly expands the number of ATMs our customers can use free of charge. We are making it easier for our customers to do business with us by giving them more access to their money," said Frost chairman and CEO, Dick Evans. "It significantly broadens our network of ATMs across all of our regions, giving Frost the third-largest number of ATMs in Texas."
"By forming this ATM branding relationship with Cardtronics, Frost validates our belief that Cardtronics ATMs can play an important role in connecting consumers with their financial institutions, creating convenient cash access in destination retail locations," said Rick Updyke, president of the U.S. business group at Cardtronics.
