Fiserv wins ATMIA Industry Award for Excellence
January 22, 2009
BROOKFIELD, Wis. — Fiserv Inc., a provider of information technology services to the financial industry, has announced that its Fiserv Cash and Logistics Group has won the prestigious ATM Industry Award for Excellence, a global recognition jointly awarded by ATMIA and ATMmarketplace.com.
The award is presented annually to the company that achieves long-term positive influence on improving the payments industry, excellence in technology or levels of service, and is a leader in applying best practices. The winner is selected by a majority vote of ATMIA members in 50 countries. Fiserv was nominated for its iCom cash forecasting system by Cardtronics, the world's largest non-bank ATM operator. Cardtronics recently evaluated leading cash management solutions and chose the Fiserv iCom system, due to its ASP option, which facilitates economies of scale for the entire Cardtronics network. iCom's automation and configurable business rules have also helped Cardtronics to significantly lower the incidence of outages and decrease cash levels while increasing ATM availability.
"At Cardtronics, we are always looking for innovative ways to achieve scale in our operations," said Mike Clinard, president of global services for Cardtronics. "The iCom system's superior cash supply chain management, forecasting ability and application service provider model have assisted us in reducing costs, and has allowed us to reallocate resources elsewhere within our organization. We believe Fiserv is more than deserving of the Industry Award of Excellence."
Chris Anderson, president of Fiserv Cash & Logistics, said he was honored his company had been chosen for the award.
"The award is a testament to our commitment to client service and demonstrates the scale and scope of our capabilities," Anderson said. "We look forward to continuing to help our clients succeed in the industries and markets that we serve."
Fiserv will be presented with the award at the annual ATMIA conference, The ATM Industry: Change in Composition, in Nashville, Feb. 10-12, 2009.
