Fiserv names Simons to board

BROOKFIELD, Wis. - Fiserv Inc. has added Doyle Simons to its board of directors.
Simons is the executive vice president of Temple-Inland Inc., an Austin, Texas-based Fortune 500 company. Temple-Inland holds interests in financial services, real estate, forest products and paper. According to a news release, Simons, 43, is expected by the end of the year to become Temple-Inland's chairman and chief executive, following the completion of the company's restructuring.
"Doyle's broad experience at Temple-Inland in developing and executing strategy across a diverse set of businesses is a good fit with Fiserv, said Don Dillon, Fiserv's chairman of the board. "We look forward to tapping his expertise."
Before becoming executive vice president at Temple-Inland, Simons served as chief administrative officer, vice president of administration, director of investor relations, and as a corporate attorney. Before Temple-Inland, Simons was an attorney in private practice.
Simons holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Baylor University and a doctor of jurisprudence from The University of Texas. He also completed the Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
