First Data, Advanta renew card-processing deal

OMAHA, Neb. - First Data Corp. announced Dec. 20 that it has renewed a transaction-processing agreement with Advanta Corp., a subsidiary Advanta Bank Corp. Financial terms of the renewal were not disclosed.
According to a news release, First Data will continue to provide comprehensive card-processing services, statement production and mailing, plastics personalization and fraud services.
"We have enjoyed a long and successful relationship with First Data and are pleased with this extension," said Dennis Alter, Advanta chairman and chief executive.
