Fifth Third enhances ATMs with software from Phoenix

According to a news release, the bank's more than 2,000 Jeanie ATMs will be upgraded over time to run on VISTAatm. The software package includes smart-client features that bring new functionality and services, including check imaging and customer relationship management, to Fifth Third's ATM channel.
"The Bank's integration of multiple service environments represents a revolutionary shift in our industry and one that will greatly benefit their customers," said Kyle MacDonald, Phoenix's chief executive.
Fifth Third Bank says it will incorporate cross-channel integration to offer consistent user experiences at all customer touchpoints. The bank also plans to offer ATM voice guidance across its network with Phoenix's VISTAatm Text-to-Speech technology.
