Fifth Third Bancorp has finished transitioning customers from Comerica Bank to its systems. Fifth Third first acquired Comerica in Feb. 1, 2026, according to a press release.
The combined institution has more than $300 billion in assets. With the acquisition, it gained close to 600,000 customers and 293 banking centers in Arizona, California, Florida, Michigan and Texas.
Comerica customers now have access to approximately 1,500 branches and 21,300 ATMs, along with several solutions such as Early Pay.
"The power of this merger comes from what we can accomplish together as one team," Tim Spence, chairman, CEO and president of Fifth Third, said in the release. "Now that we're on one platform, we can bring the full strength of the combined company to every client, in every market we serve. Our teams planned, trained and tested for this moment, and they delivered a disciplined conversion this weekend. We're continuing to monitor the customer experience closely and are ready to help wherever needed."
