First National Bank, a subsidiary of F.N.B. Corp., appointed D. Brent Gore as market executive and president of Raleigh-Durham. In this role, he will oversee commercial banking for the region and FNB's cross-functional business model, according to a press release.

He has more than 25 years experience in commercial and middle market banking, at banks such as JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo and Comercia.

"FNB is a formidable player in its southeastern markets, including Raleigh, Durham and our surrounding communities. The company offers a truly unique combination of scale, innovation and expertise, and I was drawn to the prospect of being part of a compelling growth story in the region I am proud to call home," Gore said in the release.

FNB operates close to 100 branches and 370 ATMs in North Carolina.
