Diebold software gets innovation award

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Diebold Inc. has received an award from the Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development for software innovation.
According to a news release, the 2007 ACORD Innovative Implementation Award recognizes organizations that are using 's software systems, including the Agilis platform, are designed to generate revenue and drive out cost through technology and enhanced functionality, Diebold says.
ACORD, a nonprofit insurance organization, presented the award to Diebold in May.
Diebold was recognized for its work with the United Fire Group, a property and casualty insurance carrier based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
"We are able to tailor our offerings to each customer's unique needs, adjusting our strategies to fit any environment," said Kumar Pavithran, Diebold's vice president of global software and systems development. "The UFG case is one example of how Diebold software can increase profits and improve customer satisfaction."
