Diebold releases dispenser, cash recycler for tellers

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Diebold Inc. has announced the introduction of two products designed to enhance financial services and improve operational efficiency within the branch environment.
Diebold says the launch of the 220 Express Cash Dispenser and the 228 Express Cash Recycler came after they used independent research and user studies to learn how to best design the units as well as to incorporate features and enhancements desirable among financial institutions, tellers and service technicians. The ECD and ECR were designed to fit under bank branch counters with minimal modifications. The units also offer touchscreen capabilities for a more intuitive user experience.
The 220 ECD automates cash-handling for tellers. The 228 ECR, which offers a 10-denomination configuration, allows a teller to reutilize deposited cash and enables FIs to efficiently manage cash.
"Financial institutions are demanding a total teller automation solution that addresses both cash dispensing and recycling capabilities," said Chuck Ducey, Diebold's senior vice president of global development and services.
