Diebold names Forrester VP of IT

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Diebold Inc. has named Sean Forrester its vice president of information technology. Forrester will assume the new post Dec. 4.
In his new role, Forrester is expected to lead and consolidate Diebold's enterprise applications, systems architecture and Oracle enterprise-resource-planning program office.
Forrester will report to John Crowther, vice president and chief information officer.
"Sean brings considerable experience in IT strategic planning, business transformation and ERP implementation with diversified global organizations," said Kevin Krakora, executive vice president and chief financial officer. "This appointment is another strategic step forward in improving our operations by building a strong, cohesive IT organization that will support our business transformation and profitable growth."
Forrester comes to Diebold from SPX Corp., where he served as vice president of IT. Before SPX, Forrester spent 18 years with Dana Corp., where his positions included corporate director of IT planning and governance, and division chief information officer for Dana Heavy Vehicle Technologies & Systems Group.
Forrester holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and a master's degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University. He is expected to earn a master's degree in project management in December.
