Diebold intros remote security patch for ATMs

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Diebold Inc. says it has launched a new service that allows financial institutions to remotely deploy Microsoft security patches to Diebold ATMs running Windows' XP Pro with Agilis software.

"Diebold's software deployment offers a low-cost patch deployment alternative to routine, on-site visits, resulting in increased uptime and customer satisfaction and more confidence in ATM security and compliance," said Chuck Ducey, senior vice president of global development and services for Diebold.
