De La Rue announces stronger-than-expected results for FY '06/'07
February 19, 2007
BASINGSTOKE, England - De La Rue PLC said it expects its fiscal year 2006/2007, which ends March 31, to close with higher-than-expected earnings.
According a company statement, trading since the De La Rue's interim announcement has been stronger than expected across all areas. The company says it expects its profit before tax, amortization and exceptional items to exceed the £90.7 million (U.S. $177 million) estimated by market sources.
The company's Cash Systems business has shown revenue growth during the second half of the year. De La Rue attributes some of that growth to increased ATM-related product demands in North America. Orders for cash-dispenser have remained strong.
Increased interest income, reflecting more favourable cash flow, together with improved income from associates are expected to benefit the second half.
