Computer Warehouse Group Plc., a Lagos, Nigeria-based provider of hardware managed services and outsourcing, has signed deals with three undisclosed financial institutions for its ATM as a service concept.
According to a press release, the company launched the program two years ago as a way to allow banks to focus on core banking operations while technological platform providers drive their ATM business.
The new agreements — with a tier one bank, a commercial bank, and a microfinance bank — are a sign that the AaaS concept is gaining traction, the company said.
"[T]he concept is sure to be adopted by even more financial institutions," Adeshile Adekanbi, CWG product manager for ATM and POS in Nigeria, said in the release. "The value-added services integrated into the AaaS platforms is sure to drive usage and overall satisfaction to all concerned stakeholders."
