Credit Union 24 reports increase in new members and member renewals

October 14, 2010

Credit Union 24, the nation's largest credit union owned ATM and point-of-sale network, reported that 12 credit unions have joined the network, and 25 credit unions have renewed long-term agreements with CU24 in the third quarter.

The 12 credit unions have a total of more than $417 million in assets and more than 71,600 members, said officials of Credit Union 24, which is based in Tallahassee, Fla. Credit unions that renewed their long-term contracts have a total of more than $1.6 billion in assets and more than 228,000 members.

"Growth and retention within the Credit Union 24 network has been excellent thus far in 2010, and this quarter's addition and retention of more than $2 billion in assets and nearly 300,000 credit union members confirms that our participants and their members are benefiting from the products and services that we provide, such as the nation's largest surcharge-free ATM network and credit union point-of-sale access," said Jim Park, president and CEO of Credit Union 24.

More than 100,000 ATM terminals nationwide participate in Credit Union 24's network. The ATMs are deployed in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, Guam, Portugal, Japan and the United Kingdom.
